The request was made to register a case for the arrest of Imran Khan, the cricketer, in a case filed against him by the woman he is accused of raping.
The woman has alleged that she was raped by the sportsman several years ago and is trying to raise the issue before the British courts.
The request was made by the students’ body to register a case against Imran Khan on the grounds that an angry mob attacked him at the end of a speech at one of his rallies.
The notice dated 21st April 1952 was sent to the Investigation Officer at Islamabad. It was also sent to the Superintendent of Police, Rawalpindi, as well as to Divisional Headquarters, Rawalpindi. The information that had been gathered so far, included “threats against his person with regard to award of contracts”. Imran Khan responded on June 1st, 1952 by sending a telegram through diplomatic channel stating he would not be available for the relevant meeting until June 15th.
In Pakistan, the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 (PCA) is enacted to ensure that no public officer may accept anything other than his lawful salary for performing official functions. Under this Act, if any person willfully fails to disclose his assets when requested by a competent authority, the executive magistrate or a court can set aside such assets as excessive and apply it contra-distinguisham (against the person).

The Mufti was told that the police had received a request requesting the arrest of Imran Khan and to register a case against him. The Mufti asked his assistant to inform him what response he would recommend. His assistant replied that in his opinion, since he himself had been prompted to close the case and issue the orders for its closure, he would recommend immediate execution and arrest of the petitioner.
Imran Khan has been accused of adultery and sexual harassment. The cases have been filed against him by two women. A request was made to register a case against him under Section 498A of the IPC, which was not granted by the court.
Imran Khan has been accused of public money theft, fraud, and finally has been arrested. The case against him will be filed in the court soon.
